Orruk Freebooter
Orruk Freebooters, or Orruk Pirates, are Orruks that have taken to the seas of the Mortal Realms to engage in piracy, looting, and raiding. They are known to operate out of junk-fleets, raft-flotillas, and floating shanty-ports.[1a][2a][3a][4a]
History
Age of Chaos
Volturnos earned his Kingship during the Flotsam Isles War, personally leading to the destruction of the flotsam islands crafted by the Orruks.[4a]
During this era the Realm of Ghur saw a vast armada comprised of Bonesplitter raft-flotillas arise. The Idoneth of Dhom-hain and Nautilar found the massive fleet of tens of thousands of Orruks a sufficient enough threat to set aside their animosity to smash apart the armada.[4a]
Age of Sigmar
The Cities of Sigmar are often targets of Orruk junk-fleets, who are among the few naval powers in the seas of the Mortal Realms willing to contest the dominance of the Scourge Privateers. The threat posed by particularly powerful groups of Orruk freebooters, such as those of Blista Bakk, have been deemed sufficient enough to call for open warfare to wipe them out.[1a][2a][3a]
Notable Fleets of Orruk Pirates
- Reaver Fleet: An infamous empire of pirates and cut-throats that once raided along the shores of the Obsidian Coast.[5a]
