Elethrus Vinx
Her Holiness Elethrus Vinx is the Supreme Pontifex of Hammerhal, responsible for overseeing the disparate Cults Unberogen and Sigmarite faiths of the Twin-Tailed City.[1][3a]
Overview
Though Elethrus Vinx appears to be little more than a corpulent woman, with several chins[6c], who adorns herself in finery such as her pearlescent prayer beads, she earned her position and reputation on the battlefield and still knows how to wield a sigmarite hammer when her schemes go awry[6c]. Through the years her commanding voice has kept the other Pontifexes of the Cults Unberogen of Hammerhal in line.[1][2][5a] She remains one of the most important rival of the Hidden Hand leading the Order of Azyr in Hammerhall's Grand Conclave[6c].
History
Age of Sigmar
She has been overseeing the Cults Unberogen in Hammerhal since before the Time of Tribulations.[1][2][5a]. Her position even grant her nominal authority over all of the council of faiths in the other Free Cities of Sigmar's Empire, except perhaps those in Azyr, making her one of the most influential and powerful mortals of the Realms[6a][6b].
While she usually plays a background role in the Grand Conclave of Hammerhal, she is a master manipulator that only acts when the moment is ripe, able to wipe the city of Aqsha into religious fervour with a single declamation. She also lavishes favour on the Cults that attract miracles from the God-King, using them to bolster the faith[6c]. But should the need arise, she is not above handing out herself culls of suspected Chaos worshippers, even in her household proper, thought it may be a ploy to try and uproot spies from the Order of Azyr[6c].
