Bjarl
Bjarl is a frozen continent in the south of the Ghurish Heartlands. The continent is moving aggressively northwards, connecting to Andtor via the glacial flow known as the Bjarl Throat and approaching Gallet across the Splitneck Sea.[1a][2a]
Climate
Bjarl is cold, unnaturally so. It is a land of windswept tundras and gargantuan glaciers. It was not always like this, however; the Everwinter has become unusually persistent in the region. Those who suspect that the Everwinter possesses a will of its own worry that it is using the continent as a base to spread its influence, while conversely those who say the Ghurish continents battle for dominance believe that Bjarl holds the Everwinter in place to use as a weapon against its rivals.[2a][3a][3b]
Inhabitants
The majority of Bjarl's inhabitants are nomadic Chaos-worshipping tribes and Beastclaw Raiders alfrostuns. However, the Ossiarch Bonereapers have taken an interest in the region, as the cold helps to keep away the prying eyes of the living. They work tirelessly on building their Ghurish Necrosia and a great Ivory Citadel - a beachhead for the wars to come.[2a]
